Chad to Deploy 1,500 Troops to Haiti to Combat Gangs - Reports

MOSCOW, April 21 (RIA Novosti) - Chad will deploy 1,500 troops to Haiti as part of a UN-led peacekeeping operation to combat gang violence, the Tchadinfos news portal reported, citing Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno. According to the news portal, 400 Chadian security forces are already deployed in Haiti. The mission will last 12 months, the report said on Monday​​​.
