IMF Lowers Global GDP Growth Forecast for 2026 Amid Middle East Conflict

WASHINGTON, April 14 (RIA Novosti) - The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has downgraded its global GDP growth forecast for 2026 to 3.1% due to the military conflict in the Middle East, while maintaining its estimate for 2027, the IMF said in its World Economic Outlook published on Tuesday. "Under the reference forecast, global growth is projected to be 3.1 percent in 2026 and 3.2 percent in 2027 ... The forecast for 2026 is revised downward......
