Swedish public television SVT announced Monday it was cutting 141 of its 2,100 jobs as part of a previously announced 355-million-kronor ($37-million) savings plan. The broadcaster said in a statement it has had to absorb an additional 192 million kronor in costs for the use and maintenance of the terrestrial network after commercial channel operators abandoned the network.
