MOSCOW, March 23 (RIA Novosti) - Russian raw aluminum exports to the European Union dropped by nearly 20 times year-on-year and over 10 times month-on-month in January amid the EU's ban, a RIA Novosti analysis of Eurostat data showed on Monday. Under the EU's 16th sanctions package, imports of Russian raw aluminum are being phased out, with a full ban to take effect by the end of 2026. The 2025 imports are capped at 275,000 tonnes.
