At least 17 African migrants have drowned off the Indian Ocean island of Comoros, the interior minister said Thursday. Survivors said the group was from the Democratic Republic of Congo and thought they had arrived on the French island of Mayotte, Mohamed Ahamada Assoumani told reporters.
