Female founders outpaced by males in start-up funding in Germany

Berlin (dpa) - Female start-up founders in Germany continue to secure far less venture capital than their male counterparts or mixed-gender teams, according to a study published on Sunday by EY-Parthenon, the strategy consulting division of Ernst & Young. The analysis found that of 660 start-ups that secured fresh funding, 536 (81%) had all-male founding teams and 21 were purely female (3%).
