Cologne Cathedral to charge admission fee

Cologne (dpa) - The world-famous Cologne Cathedral is set to begin charging tourists an admission fee. The funds are to be used to cover the increased costs of maintenance, protection and operation, the cathedral authorities said on Thursday. The fee will be charged from the second half of the year and will apply to visits to the large interior of the cathedral in the western German city. The cathedral will remain free of charge for churchgoers.......
