Telefonica posted a steep net loss for 2025 on Tuesday, weighed down by the cost of a workforce reduction plan in Spain and losses from the sale of its Latin American subsidiaries. The Spanish telecoms company recorded a net loss of 4.32 billion euros ($5.1 billion) last year, compared with a 49 million euro loss in 2024, citing "non-recurring factors" and the impact of divestments.
