Rooney: Calm Carrick 'makes sense' as permanent Man Utd boss

London (PA Media/dpa) - Wayne Rooney says Manchester United's interim manager Michael Carrick should not be overlooked for the role on a permanent basis. Former United midfielder Carrick was appointed as caretaker boss until the end of the season soon after Ruben Amorim was sacked in early January.
