Colombia accused a dissident group from the now-defunct FARC guerrilla organization on Wednesday of kidnapping a leftist senator for several hours the day before. Senator Aida Quilcue, an award-winning Indigenous activist, was abducted on Tuesday after armed men intercepted her vehicle in the southwestern department of Cauca, where the rebels operate.
