Ams Osram to cut hundreds of jobs as losses shrink in 2025

Munich (dpa) - Austrian-German lighting and sensor business ams Osram is set to cut 2,000 jobs worldwide, despite an improved performance in 2025, the company said on Tuesday. Some 1,000 jobs each will be cut in Europe and Asia, including some lay-offs previously announced. The company's German locations will be most heavily affected by the cuts, with a couple hundred jobs to go at its semiconductor plant in Regensburg, chief executive Aldo Kampe......
