QUITO, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- Paraguay international forward Carlos Gonzalez has joined Independiente del Valle on a free transfer, the Ecuadorian club said on Monday. The 33-year-old agreed to a deal that runs until December 2027 after Argentina's Newell's Old Boys opted not to exercise an option to extend his contract last December.
