Hamburg (dpa) - Wind turbines crucial to Germany's energy transition generated less electricity in 2025 despite a strong expansion of capacity, preliminary data shows. A total of 132.6 terawatt hours (TWh) of onshore and offshore wind power were produced last year, down from 138.3 TWh in 2024, TenneT Germany, a major grid operator, told dpa.
