China launches satellite for Algeria

JIUQUAN, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- China launched an Algerian remote sensing satellite from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in northwest China on Saturday. A Long March-2C carrier rocket lifted off from the launch center at 12:01 p.m. (Beijing Time), successfully sending the satellite into its planned orbit.
