Mediawan, the French production studio whose hits include "Call My Agent", will buy the US studio North Road in a bid to create an international content powerhouse, the two companies said Friday. The deal comes as Hollywood majors are consolidating to retain leverage with streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon's Prime, which are also eager for original shows.
