Hamburg (dpa) - Hamburg has temporarily lifted a ban on the use of salt to de-ice pavements amid freezing temperatures in the northern German port city. The city has experienced what is likely to be the coldest January since 2010, with an average temperature of -0.4 degrees Celsius.
