German Chancellor Says Negotiations on European Nuclear Deterrent Are in Early Stages

MOSCOW, January 30 (RIA Novosti) - Negotiations on a European nuclear deterrent are ongoing, but are still in the early stages, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said. The Chancellor recalled that Germany has committed to not having its own nuclear weapons in two international treaties that are binding under international law.
