Security Council extends mandate of UN Integrated Office in Haiti

UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The UN Security Council on Thursday unanimously adopted a resolution to extend the mandate of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH) for a year, until Jan. 31, 2027. Resolution 2814 revises BINUH's mandate to cover six key tasks, including facilitating inter-Haitian national dialogue, providing electoral assistance, supporting Haitian authorities' efforts to reduce community violence, assistin......
