Kyrgyzstan keeps key interest rate at 11 pct

BISHKEK, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan has decided to maintain its key interest rate at 11 percent, the bank's press service said Tuesday. Inflation in Kyrgyzstan as of Jan. 16 was 9.4 percent in annual terms. The bank said its primary monetary policy objective remains to bring inflation back to the target range of 5-7 percent in the medium term.
