Messi or Mbappe take over as World Cup top scorers in 2026, says recordholder Klose

BERLIN, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- World Cup record scorer Miroslav Klose said he expects his mark of 16 goals to be broken at the 2026 tournament in Canada, Mexico and the United States. "I knew the record was going to fall one day," the former Germany striker said in several TV interviews, predicting other top players will eventually pass him. Klose said Lionel Messi, on 13 World Cup goals, and Kylian Mbappe, on 12, are the most likely to do it.......
