Gambia's government on Monday said that at least 31 people died when a boat overloaded with migrants sank on New Year's Eve, hiking the previous toll of seven. "Fifteen bodies are confirmed to be recovered from the Gambia and 16 in Senegal," it said in an update, adding "many others (are) missing and feared dead". bk-els/yad/rh ...
