Former CSL top scorer Zahavi announces retirement

JERUSALEM, Jan. 1 (Xinhua) -- Israeli striker Eran Zahavi, twice the top scorer of the Chinese Super League (CSL), announced on Thursday that he is retiring from professional football at the age of 38. Zahavi enjoyed a prolific spell with Guangzhou R&F in China from 2016 to 2020, topping the CSL's scoring charts in 2017 with 27 goals and breaking the league record in 2019 with 29 goals.
