Japan Approves Record $783Bln Budget for Fiscal Year 2026 - Reports

TOKYO, December 26 (RIA Novosti) - The Japanese government has approved a 122.31 trillion yen ($782.9 billion) budget for fiscal year 2026, which will last from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027, Japanese media reported on Friday​​​. Social security expenditures will total 39.6 trillion yen, an increase of 760 billion yen compared to FY2025, the Kyodo news agency reported.
