Underfunded German courts helping organized crime, judges warn

Berlin (dpa) - The German Association of Judges has accused the country's federal states of inadvertently making it easier for organized crime to operate by underfunding criminal justice authorities. "The state governments are leaving billions of euros uncollected because they are overly focused on the personnel costs of criminal prosecution," said Sven Rebehn, the association's managing director, in comments published on Thursday by the Funke me......
