Jordan, Palestinian officials urge sustained Gaza ceasefire

AMMAN, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met here on Tuesday with Palestinian Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh, during which they urged consolidating the Gaza ceasefire and addressing the escalation in the West Bank. Both sides stressed that achieving an immediate and sustained ceasefire in Gaza is a top priority, and called for full implementation of the ceasefire deal and progress toward it......
