The French presidency on Tuesday welcomed the European Commission's proposals to ease a planned 2035 ban on the sale of new combustion-engine vehicles as "balanced", despite France's environment minister criticising the move. An advisor to French President Emmanuel Macron told journalists the Elysee embraced the European Commission's move, "which in our view is balanced between the flexibility some had sought" and France's demand that preference......
