Some 650 Afghans waiting to resettle in Germany rejected, Berlin says

Islamabad/Berlin (dpa) - German authorities have told some 650 Afghans waiting for visas under a special admissions programme that they have been rejected, according to the Interior Ministry. "Following a comprehensive review, it has been determined that the basis for the authorization of the admission obligation no longer exists," the ministry said on Monday in response to a request by dpa.
