NHL officials said Tuesday they have trimmed the number of host candidates for the 2028 World Cup of Hockey to 16 cities, 10 in North America and six in Europe. NHL deputy commissioner Bill Daly said after the conclusion of NHL club owners meetings in Colorado that the league will select one host in Europe and one in North America.
