German mechanical engineering sector in 'slump' as orders fall 19%

Frankfurt (dpa) - Germany's mechanical engineering sector is heading for a 5% drop in production in 2025 after another disappointing month in September, the Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering (VDMA) said on Monday.
