Thailand's economy picks up in September on rising exports

BANGKOK, Oct. 31 (Xinhua) -- Thailand's economy picked up in September on a monthly basis, driven by rising exports, a rebound in manufacturing, and higher foreign tourism receipts, the central bank said on Friday. Exports, a key driver of the Southeast Asian country's economic growth, surged 19.2 percent year-on-year in September, fueled by growth in electronic and automotive products, said the central bank's senior director, Pranee Sutthasri......
