Report: Fewer people injured at German football games in past season

Berlin (dpa) - The number of people injured at matches in the top three German football divisions has dropped to 1,107 in the past season, according to a report, but remains "unacceptable." Citing the latest report from the Central Information Office for Sports Operations (ZIS) of the German police, daily Westdeutsche Allgemeine Zeitung said the figure was 231 people and 17% per cent less than the 1,338 injured in 2023-24.
