Guangdong carbon market closes higher

GUANGZHOU, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Carbon emissions allowances closed at 35.09 yuan (about 4.94 U.S. dollars) per tonne on Monday, 6.62 percent up from Friday at Guangzhou Emissions Exchange, the largest local carbon market in China. A total of 476 tonnes of allowances were transacted on Monday with a turnover of 16,702.92 yuan.
