Bangladesh reports 6 new deaths amid surge of dengue fever cases

DHAKA, Sept. 19 (Xinhua) -- The number of dengue fever cases has continued to grow in Bangladesh, with six new deaths reported Thursday, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said. In the last 24 hours as of 8:00 a.m. local time Thursday, Bangladesh reported 647 new infections. With the newly reported infections, the total number of dengue cases has surged to 40,461 in Bangladesh so far this year, the DGHS said. According to......
