Canadian GDP Contracts Over Weaker Exports to US Amid Ongoing Trade Row - StatCan

WASHINGTON, August 29 (RIA Novosti) - Canada's GDP contracted by 0.4% during the second quarter due to weaker exports to the United States amid the ongoing trade row, Statistics Canada (StatCan) said on Friday. "Real gross domestic product (GDP) declined 0.4% in the second quarter of 2025, following a 0.5% gain in the first quarter. The contraction in the second quarter was driven by significant declines in the export of goods," StatCan said.......
