TOKYO, August 29 (RIA Novosti) - Japan's Defense Ministry is requesting a record budget of 8.85 trillion yen ($60.16 billion) for the 2026 fiscal year, which begins on April 1, 2026, according to a draft budget published on Friday​​​.
