AMTA targets 2 125 metric tons of pearl millet from local farmers

OMUTHIYA, 27 AUG (NAMPA) – The Agro-Marketing and Trade Agency (AMTA) has announced its plans to purchase 2 125 metric tonnes of mahangu (pearl millet) from local farmers across Namibia over the current financial year.
The national grain procurement process began on Wednesday and will run until the end of October, or until AMTA has absorbed all the allocated grain.
