London (PA Media/dpa) - Grand Slam Track founder Michael Johnson has apologised for missing payments to athletes and said the event would not go ahead in 2026 unless a solution was found. The league, which is in its inaugural season, reportedly owes competitors millions of dollars in appearance fees and prize money, and in June the fourth and final meet on the calendar - scheduled for Los Angeles - was cancelled.
