Tele2 expands 5G network, eyes 300 new stations across Latvia

RIGA, Aug. 11 (Xinhua) -- Latvia's telecommunications provider Tele2 has upgraded 19 base stations in Riga with 5G technology, giving customers in the capital faster internet speeds and greater network capacity during peak usage. The company's chief technology officer Liga Krumina said the upgrades involved installing the latest generation equipment on existing 4G stations, improving service quality while enabling 5G rollout.
