Half-year profit up for Germany's Heidelberg Materials

Frankfurt (dpa) - Heidelberg Materials, a German building materials company, on Thursday reported that its first-half profit attributable to shareholders was ?686 million ($785.6 million), up from ?574 million last year. Earnings per share from continuing operations were ?3.89 compared to ?3.19 in the same period last year.
