Mercedes-Benz half-year profit plunges 56% amid weak sales, tariffs

Stuttgart (dpa) - Mercedes-Benz on Wednesday reported a sharp decline in its half-year profit, falling by more than half compared to the same period last year. The German carmaker's group net income dropped 55.8% from about ?6.1 billion ($7 billion) to around ?2.7 billion.
