WINDHOEK, 20 JUL (NAMPA) –Namibia’s national senior men’s rugby team, the Welwitschias, suffered an agonising defeat to Zimbabwe in the Rugby Africa Cup final, missing out on the 2027 Rugby World Cup qualification spot.

The Welwitschias lost the match 28–30, ending their hopes of making an eighth World Cup appearance on their first attempt, while Zimbabwe will make its first appearance at the global tournament since 1991.
