Big increase in 'green' jobs in UK, ONS reports

London (PA Media/dpa) - The number of jobs in so-called green industries has increased by more than a third over the past decade, according to new figures. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) said UK employment in green jobs was an estimated 690,900 full-time equivalents (FTE) in 2023, compared with 513,300 in 2015, an increase of around 177,600 or an estimated 34.6%.
