US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he was not planning on firing Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell, as concerns escalated that he would do so in the near future. Asked about his plans on the matter and whether he was considering ousting the central bank leader, Trump said: "He's doing a lousy job but no, I'm not talking about that," adding later that while he thought it was "highly unlikely" he would not rule anything out.
