Germany's Zimmermann escapes fractures in fall, aims to continue Tour

Châteauroux, France (dpa) - German road race champion Georg Zimmermann has sustained no fractures in a nasty fall at the Tour de France on Sunday and is determined to continue despite big elbow pain. Zimmermann craashed some 117 kilometres before the finish of the ninth stage in Châteauroux when he lost balance after seemingly hitting a bottle lying on the road.
