LONDON, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Iga Swiatek ruthlessly thrashed Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0 to win her maiden Wimbledon title on Saturday. The eighth-seeded Pole became the first female player to win the Wimbledon trophy with a double bagel in the Open Era, while the only other instance at a Grand Slam came in the French Open in 1988 when Steffi Graf beat Natasha Zvereva.
