BEIRUT, July 8 (RIA Novosti) - Damascus has asked the European Union for help in tackling the wildfires raging in its northeastern Latakia province on the Mediterranean coast, Syrian Minister of Emergencies and Disaster Management Raed Saleh said on Tuesday.
