Man arrested for alleged rape of teen girl at Wini village

NKURENKURU, 08 JUL (NAMPA) - A 57-year-old man is being detained at the Nkurenkuru Police Station following allegations of rape involving a 13-year-old girl at Wini village in the Kavango West Region.
Chief Inspector Raimbert Muronga confirmed the incident, saying it reportedly occurred around 17h00 on Monday.
“It is alleged that the suspect found the victim in the bush and had sexual intercourse with her without her consent,” Muronga said.
