Singapore sees fewer marriages, later unions in 2024

SINGAPORE, July 7 (Xinhua) -- A total of 26,328 marriages were registered in Singapore in 2024, marking a 7.0 percent decline from the 28,310 marriages recorded in 2023, according to figures released Monday by the Singapore Department of Statistics. The annual average number of marriages from 2020 to 2024 stood at 27,001, slightly lower than the 27,389 average recorded between 2015 and 2019.
