German windsurfer dies in the Netherlands

Amsterdam (dpa) - A 60-year-old German windsurfer died on Saturday while on the Veerse Meer lagoon in the south-western Netherlands, according to Zeeland provincial police. The man was pulled from the water shortly after an emergency call was made, police said on social media platform X. Despite resuscitation efforts by rescue workers, he could not be revived.
