Zambezi records 34 GBV cases monthly

KATIMA MULILO, 27 JUN (NAMPA) - The Zambezi region records an average of 34 Gender Based Violence (GBV) related cases every month.
This is according to Detective Senior Inspector Rahele Tawana of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol), when she presented an overview at the launch of the regional communication campaign to end GBV on Friday.
Tawana said 90 per cent of the people who endure GBV are women and children, with 10 per cent being male.
